This CDBG project included streetscape, sidewalks, crosswalks, street lighting and hardscape amenities to enhance the downtown urban environment of the Town of Brookneal, Virginia.  The project included professional A/E cost estimates, and the identification of Phase One for construction design documents, bidding, and construction administration.  Further design review and negotiations with VDOT and Stakeholders secured final easements and construction permits.  WW Associates coordinated with the architect providing facade renovations. This section of the project followed the guidelines of the Main Street Program and DHCD as well as Historic guidelines from DCR.  Public meetings and stakeholder involvement were key to the success of this design process.
